Beskrivelse af Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
""Rosencrantz and Guildenstern"" is a play written by W.S. Gilbert, the famous English dramatist who is best known for his work with Arthur Sullivan on the Savoy Operas. The play is a comedic retelling of Shakespeare's ""Hamlet"" from the perspective of two minor characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. The play follows the two characters as they try to figure out what is going on in the court of Denmark and why Hamlet is behaving so strangely. Along the way, they encounter a cast of characters from the original play, including the ghost of Hamlet's father, Ophelia, and Polonius. The play is known for its witty dialogue, clever wordplay, and satirical take on Shakespeare's classic tragedy. It has been performed numerous times since its first production in 1891 and remains a popular choice for theater companies and schools around the world.ROSENCRANTZ To sleep, perchance to -- Dream. That's very true. I never dream myself. But Guildenstern dreams all night long out loud. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
