Roads

- All Roads Lead to Roam

Bag om Roads

I was born on the Road, and have lived on it most of my life, except for a few decades in a city, when earning the means to free me for permanent travel. Now, the Road is a mansion, with many, many rooms, of vastly varying variety. Some are hot and dry, some are cold and wet, others are everything in between. And just as fine and fascinating as the rooms are the hallways and passages between, some long, some short, and all with windows on an infinite set of worlds. A fairly large percentage of my time is spent actually on the Road, mostly going places I have never been, looking for sights I have never seen, finding people I have never met.And that is what is in this book. Praises of wonderful roads, portraits of places they lead, brief vignettes of interesting and often surprising sights along the way. There are definitions of the major kinds of roads, and discussions of what they can be like, and by far the most important, descriptions, histories, details of some of the most outstanding roads. This book is shallow, only an introduction to the Road. Almost everything has been left out, because everything would fill an encyclopedia. A large one. You really need to get out here and see for yourself. I am only showing you the way. The way to Freedom.
