Res Burman's Poetry V3

The ruggedly beautiful ocean shoreline of Cornwall and the Penzance area have provided a backdrop that has inspired his poetic musings for many years and, more recently, another of his artistic hobbies, photography.

His poems range in motif from the especially serious subject of the spiritual world all the way to a satirical sense of humour expressing thoughts about the absurdities of life. As I think of Robert Frost to be the "American Poet" whose poetry touches on ideas to which all humans can relate, so I think of Res as being the "English Poet" whose poems are wide ranging and express ideas to which all humans can relate. Res is truly the gentlemanly, pirate, Poet of Penzance.
