Beskrivelse af Raspberry Jam
Raspberry Jam is a mystery novel written by Carolyn Wells, first published in 1912. The story follows the investigation of the murder of wealthy businessman, Mr. Crawford, who is found dead in his study with a jar of raspberry jam beside him. The police suspect his secretary, Miss Adams, who was the last person to see him alive. However, Miss Adams denies any involvement and claims that she left Mr. Crawford alive and well in his study. The investigation is taken up by private detective, Fleming Stone, who is convinced that Miss Adams is innocent. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies surrounding the victim's family and business associates. With the help of his friend, detective Van Dusen, also known as ""The Thinking Machine"", Stone pieces together the clues and eventually solves the case. The novel is set in the early 1900s and provides a glimpse into the social and cultural norms of that time. It is a classic whodunit mystery that keeps the reader guessing until the very end. Raspberry Jam is a must-read for fans of vintage mystery novels and those who enjoy a good old-fashioned detective story.""Why you came to my 'gambling house' to try to pick up a little ready cash! I know. But now looky here, Eunice, you've got to decide--either you're with me or agin me! I won't have any blow hot, blow cold! You're friends with Fifi Desternay--or--she's your enemy!""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
