Beskrivelse af Q. Valerii Catulli Veronensis Carmina (1867)
Q. Valerii Catulli Veronensis Carmina (1867) is a collection of poems by the ancient Roman poet Catullus, also known as Gaius Valerius Catullus. The book contains 116 poems that explore themes such as love, friendship, and the natural world. The poems are written in a variety of meters and styles, from elegiac couplets to lyric verse. Many of the poems are addressed to specific individuals, including Catullus' lover Lesbia and his friend and fellow poet, Calvus. The collection has been praised for its emotional depth and vivid imagery, and has had a lasting influence on Western poetry. This edition of the book, published in 1867, includes a Latin text of the poems, along with notes and commentary by the editor. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
