Power over Everything

Power over Everything follows the story of Charles Clark, a boy whose hopes and dreams are larger than life. Charles is plagued by self-doubt and inadequacy, but the love and support from his brothers help him through his struggles. Charles and his brothers find strength together as they cope with a physically and mentally abusive household. Coping with everyday concerns such as graduating high school is made even more difficult under the sociopathic eye of their mother, and tragic events such as home vandalism might be more than what they initially seem. Charles endeavors to make something of himself as he joins the air force to fulfill his lifelong dream to travel the world and become a worthwhile person. He is brought to his knees by deaths in the family, and being made to feel subhuman even in his adult years continues to sow seeds of uncertainty. Only by surrounding himself with strong and healthy people will Charles become the kind of man he has always wanted to be. With any luck, life will imitate art as he gets closer to visiting that one special place that has lived in his heart since he was a little boy.
