Beskrivelse af Peter And Wendy (1911)
Peter and Wendy is a classic children's novel written by James Matthew Barrie and first published in 1911. The story follows the adventures of a young boy named Peter Pan who never grows up, and his encounters with a group of children from London, including Wendy Darling and her brothers John and Michael. The story begins when Peter visits the Darling family's nursery and takes Wendy and her brothers on a magical journey to Neverland, a far-off land where children never grow up. There they encounter a variety of fantastical creatures, including fairies, mermaids, and pirates, led by the infamous Captain Hook.As the story unfolds, Peter and Wendy's relationship deepens, and Wendy becomes a mother figure to the Lost Boys, Peter's group of young followers. However, their idyllic life in Neverland is threatened by the arrival of the villainous Captain Hook, who seeks revenge against Peter for cutting off his hand and feeding it to a crocodile.Throughout the novel, Barrie explores themes of childhood innocence, imagination, and the importance of family and friendship. The novel has become a beloved classic and has been adapted into numerous stage plays, films, and other media. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
