Only Human: A Novel is a book written by John Strange Winter and was first published in 1893. The story revolves around the life of a young woman named Hester Stannard, who is forced to leave her childhood home and move to London after her father's death. Hester is determined to make a new life for herself and she finds work as a governess in the household of a wealthy family. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when she falls in love with her employer's son, Arthur Sinclair. The two lovers must navigate the obstacles of social class and family expectations in order to be together. Along the way, Hester must also confront her own past and the secrets that she has been keeping from Arthur. Only Human: A Novel is a tale of love, sacrifice, and the complexities of human relationships. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
