To commemorate Homer¿s legacy with contemporary imagery, and honor the achievements of the world-famous archeologist Heinrich Schliemann at the occasion of his 200th birthday, 65 artists from 30 countries came together and went on their own transcendental quest. As in the Odyssey, the self-assertion of an intelligent hero that refuses to give up is also a constant theme in Schliemann¿s life. The editor of this art inspired almanac has divided the artworks from around the world into chapters and added selected haiku poems, quotes, descriptive slogans, and illustrations. The result is a multifaceted homage from the imaginative perspective of modern artists. This book is intended as a gift in the spirit of international understanding and peace. It was conceived and planned in early 2021 out of enthusiasm for the art and culture of ancient Greece.Um Homers Vermächtnis mit einer Hommage aus zeitgenössischer Bildhaftigkeit zu begegnen und die Errungenschaften des weltberühmten Archäologen Heinrich Schliemann anlässlich seines 200. Der Herausgeber dieses kunstsinnigen Almanachs hat die Bilder aus aller Welt in Kapitel aufgeteilt und durch ausgewählte Haiku-Poesie, erlesene Zitate, sowie kunstästhetische Slogans und Illustrationen untermalt. Das Ergebnis ist eine vielseitige Hommage aus der fantasievollen Sicht moderner Künstler. Dieses Buch ist ein Geschenk im Geiste der internationalen Verständigung und des Friedens. Es wurde Anfang 2021aus Begeisterung für die Kunst und Kultur des antiken Griechenlands konzipiert und geplant.
