Beskrivelse af Nerte
Nerte: Nouvelle Provencale is a novel written by French author Frederic Mistral and published in 1884. The book is set in the Provence region of France and tells the story of a young woman named Nerte who is forced into an arranged marriage with a wealthy landowner. Despite her initial reluctance, Nerte eventually falls in love with her husband and becomes a respected member of the community. However, her happiness is short-lived as her husband dies unexpectedly, leaving her alone to face the challenges of widowhood. The novel explores themes of love, loss, and the struggle for independence in a traditional society. Mistral's use of the Provenal language and dialect adds a unique flavor to the story, making it a classic of French literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
