Tessa is a forty something year old woman who has always lived in someone else's shadow. Tess has allowed herself to be dominated or persuaded by her husband, family and her children. Lilly is Tess's best friend with whom she shared all her childhood and teenage years. Who she thought would always be around. Lilly left when they turned eighteen to pursue a celebrity cooking career and despite their blood promise to write every month Tess never heard from her again. After her husband of almost 25 years left her for his young blonde secretary Lilly contacts her and offers her a trip to London. She surprises herself and accepts the offer.
