Beskrivelse af Mucedorus, 1598 (1598)
Mucedorus is a play written by Robert Greene and first published in 1598. The play is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a prince named Mucedorus who disguises himself as a shepherd in order to win the love of a beautiful shepherdess named Amadine. However, Amadine is already engaged to a wealthy nobleman named Rombus, who is determined to win her hand in marriage. Mucedorus must use his wit and charm to win Amadine's heart and overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. Along the way, the play features a range of comedic characters, including a group of bumbling bandits and a wise old hermit who provides Mucedorus with valuable advice. Mucedorus is a classic example of Elizabethan drama, featuring themes of love, disguise, and adventure.Text Is Old English. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
