Beskrivelse af Messe Solennelle, St. Cecilia
Messe Solennelle, St. Cecilia: For Soli And Chorus (1896) is a musical composition by the French composer Charles Gounod. The piece was written for soloists, choir, and orchestra and is a setting of the Catholic Mass in honor of Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music. It features a grand and majestic style, with lush harmonies and soaring melodies. The work is divided into six movements, including the Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei. The piece has been performed by choirs and orchestras around the world and is considered one of Gounod's most celebrated works. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
