Beskrivelse af Matrimonial offences in Criminal Justice Administration in India
The conception of Hindu marriage in the Rigvedic society had a very high standard of morality. They were married after finishing their studenthood at the age of puberty. Various considerations were taken for choosing a desirable bridegroom and bride. These types of society had their own challenges. They were acceptable to the society. But when we discuss the rights and duties of the husband and wife towards each other, descent conduct has been laid down and rules of monogamy were stressed. Truly admitting that a male dominated society was very old and too were responsible for women behaviour. Men had exploited women and so had the women. They had mishandled them and used them for increasing their earning in the way they wanted, sold them, marketed and advertised them like a commodity.A well defined Chapter XX, under the heading, of Offences Relating to Marriage was framed. Well defined offences (Sec 493-Sec 498) were laid out.
