Beskrivelse af Marco Polo
Though coming from a wealthy family, Marco Polo's childhood was spent parentless. He never really stayed with his parents as he was raised by an extended family. Niccolo Polo, Polo's father and his uncle Maffeo were two brothers who are Venetian merchants. The brother's journey brought them into present-day China, where they joined a diplomatic mission to the court of Kublai Khan. After spending few years with Kublai Khan, he then sent back the brothers home with letters to deliver to the pope.
