Beskrivelse af Marching Sands (1920)
Marching Sands is a novel written by Harold Lamb and published in 1920. Set in the Middle East during World War I, the story follows the adventures of American journalist Roy Selwyn as he travels through the desert with a Bedouin tribe led by the charismatic Sheikh Zaal. Along the way, Selwyn falls in love with Zaal's daughter, the beautiful and headstrong Ayesha, and becomes embroiled in the political intrigue of the region as various factions vie for control. As the war rages on, Selwyn and the Bedouins must navigate treacherous terrain and dangerous enemies in order to survive and protect their way of life. With vivid descriptions of the desert landscape and a cast of compelling characters, Marching Sands is a thrilling tale of love, loyalty, and adventure in a time of war. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
