Making Lemonade

A memoir containing 31 anecdotal tales spanning more than 60 years of the author's life, from 1956 through 2017. Bouncing from pillar to post across North America and the Pacific Ocean in his unique, hop-scotch way, it includes eight years in Naval Aviation, a decidedly non-conformist academic career, and a tour in Oregon state government. His encounters prove to be adventurous, mysterious, audacious, mystical, often upside-down or backwards, occasionally whimsical, sometimes heart-warming, and always thought-provoking and entertaining. And woven through it all runs the suggestion that when life hands you lemons, just make lemonade.
