London to a Brick

This is a true story about the life of best-selling author Robert (Bob) Menzies. It covers his years in Teachers' College when he met some lifelong friends who came to share many of his agonies and ecstasies later in life. It tells about all the loves in his life, many of them brief or imagined, and all of them (with the exception of his current one) ending in disaster. It moves on to his years of living in London and travelling the world, trying desperately to 'find himself'. Those years are punctuated by bad decisions, irresponsible actions, crazy drug and alcohol-filled nights, wayward women and memorable adventures. It covers all his travelling adventures through Great Britain, Europe, North Africa, the USA, Mexico and Canada. It is a story of self-discovery and intrepid adventure. It conveys the message that even the most reckless, most negligent people can survive - with a little help from their friends.
