The Letters of William James is a collection of personal correspondence written by the influential American philosopher and psychologist, William James. Whether William James was compressing his correspondence into brief messages, or allowing it to expand into copious letters, he could not write a page that was not free, animated, and characteristic. Many of his correspondents preserved his letters, and examination of them soon showed that it would be possible to make a selection which should not only contain certain letters which clearly deserved to be published because of their readable quality along, but should also include letters that were biographical in the best sense. In these volumes, his son has attempted to make a selection of the best of William James' letters and presents them to the public.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
