Laps of my Life Dog Breeds

Dogs are fascinating animals and there are several breeds with unique physical and behavioral characteristics. From small lap dogs to large dogs used for herding, hunting or guarding, each breed has been developed to meet the specific needs of humans.
Some dog breeds are more popular than others, such as the Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Poodle, English Bulldog, Beagle and German Shepherd. These dogs are known for their friendly personality, intelligence and ease of training, making them excellent companion animals.
Some dog breeds are developed to perform specific tasks, such as the Australian Shepherd, used to herd flocks, or the Boxer, used as a guard dog. Other breeds are developed for hunting, such as the Pointer and the Irish Setter, or for work in rescue teams, such as the Saint Bernard.
