Bag om K.O. Power Workout Blueprint and Training Log

Get Fight-Ready. This Book Demystifies Training Scheduling and Program Design Popular training methods are a bit like popular diets in that there are so many conflicting approaches and techniques that it's hard to know where to begin. A follow-up to Ginther's first book, K.O. Power Workout Blueprint and Training Log, this book clears up the confusion, guiding the user through the process of putting together an individualized training routine, making clear when and why to use a particular training protocol, and structuring it into a systematic whole. Though the main emphasis is on strength and power training, it also provides guidelines for incorporating endurance training and technical/tactical training into the program. Forms for structuring workout and training logs for tracking, recording and amending the program are also included. Get it All: Strength, Power, Speed and Endurance Certain training methodologies can complement each other or clash in such a way that they are ineffective or even counterproductive and once we've got our strength training all worked out, how do we effectively integrate it with endurance training and our technical and tactical training? Theory Alone Won't Get You There The K.O. Power Workout Blueprint and Training Log bridges the gap between theory and practical application. Taking the guesswork out of program design, The Blueprint will help you identify how and when to use the various (and sometimes confusing) training concepts and methodologies. This Book is a Power Tool for Achieving K.O. Power The Blueprint is a practical, step-by-step guide taking fighters-in-training through all of the various criteria needed to put together your own unique integrated program. Designed as a tool to augment the popular book K.O. Power: Complete Strength Training for Devastating Punches, Kicks, and Throws, it can also work on its own if one has some previous experience with training concepts. Editorial Review It is too bad we tend to think of boxing as a professional sport we only watch because boxers can teach us so much about our everyday training. Mark Ginther does a terrific job of laying out the essential elements of training starting out with, "You need a plan." Whether you are a serious competitive fighter, an amateur fighter learning the ropes or an individual wanting to be fit; if you want to get somewhere you need, first to know where you want to go! Ginther does a terrific job of explaining to a young fighter (and to you if you want to listen) the various elements of training; how and when to train in different styles. What preparing for a fight entails and, most importantly how to adapt your training to your unique body as you gain information about how your body reacts. If you want to achieve the most you can, be the most you can be, follow Ginther's plan for 6 months and enjoy the results. The last 50 years haven't made quite as much progress in training methods as we have in computers or space travel but we are awfully close and Mark Ginther does a terrific job of compiling that info in one easy-to-access book. His previous book has been a staple on Amazon; this one will be too!! Buy it and read it! It will improve your training for whatever sport! Ben Pitre, Amateur Boxer
