Justice can't be served when we've got vengeance on our mind

The Criminal Justice System in the United States is possessed by the spirit of vengeance! The proof is that as a nation we lead the entire world in locking up it's people with the largest prison population, the highest incarceration rate, and with the longest and harshest penalties. What's worse is that once you get caught up in the system you will continue to serve time long after your sentence has been completed.
