Iwana

Con Iwana, el poeta chileno Álvaro Leiva consolida una obra que viene gestándose desde 1987 para instalarse en una suerte de intersticio de la nueva lírica panamericana. Además de alter ego, la iguana es también un tributo a los varios desplazamientos lingüísticos y territoriales del autor: liróforo bilingüe que adopta la lengua de la metrópolis norteamericana al castellano chileno para hacerla transitar de la urbe en decadencia al paisaje utópico de la anarquía verde, pasando por la ciénaga del manglar y la transformación espiritual camaleónica donde "yo, tú y el camaleón somos todos".
