Beskrivelse af It's OK
'It's OK' is one of a series of booklets which develop activities in a progressive way. They suggest ideas for collaboration between teachers and other school staff and Visiting Musicians.
The purpose of these activities is for children to develop focused listening and a musical vocabulary, including:
- the ability to recognise and distinguish between musical elements and terminology,
- their emotional response to music,
- recognition of music from different times and places,
- responding to different moods and characteristics in music,
- recognition that music can be used to achieve particular effects,
- giving children a chance to develop and explain preferences in their own listening.
This series of books is written primarily with the 'generalist' music teacher in mind, although specialists/coordinators may appreciate ideas they can add to their music-teaching repertoire.
The materials also work well in a Professional Development context.
