Jonathan felt the need to spread the word of his vision. When local citizens would not pay attention to him, he moved to the Holy Lands and built an inn. While there he disappeared mysteriously. His son, Frank visited his father and collected souvenirs and took magic lantern slides. When he returned to the United States, he presented programs about the Holy Lands wearing native costumes and accompanied by the magic lantern slides. Frank's wife Indiana was thirty years younger.
