Bag om Intercultural Dialogue through Children's Literature

This textbook is based on an academic monograph entitled Intercultural dialogue in practice: Managing value judgment in foreign language education. (Houghton, 2012) that resulted from a PhD thesis supervised by Michael Byram at Durham University. It contains a series of selected extracts relevant to the exploration of intercultural dialogue through children's literature. The extracts are accompanied by a children's story entitled Lossie Leppur and the Quing which was also written by the author to explore issues related to intercultural dialogue, which was published independently in 2015, with full colour illustrations by Barbara Dessi and graphic design by Kate Austria. Together, they form a useful resource book upon which teachers can creatively draw through independent syllabus design and task development. Houghton, S.A.
