I'll See You in New York

Bag om I'll See You in New York

Since the sinking of the Titanic there have been many stories about the disaster, and perhaps one could say, too many. Very few of those stories have been written with the credibility that this never-ending saga deserves. This book is different, whereas it has been written by someone with authority, that has not only lived with this story all his life, but has experienced those same conditions. The author, having served on some of the great North Atlantic liners as a Lookout Man in later years, knows first hand how Fred Fleet, Titanic's Lookout Man, would have felt in those extreme weather conditions. The Titanic story had been told to him on numerous occasions by his mother who, at the age of 15, had survived that disaster and was old enough to remember vividly the voyage, and the tragic events that followed. Throughout this book, the emphasis has been on an authentic family story and not necessarily an historical account of the Titanic disaster itself or other events of that time.
