How Reading Is Learned

Learning to read is a wonderful experience for a child, or it is surely hoped to be.

This book, rather than being another text book about learning techniques, is instead a description of the learning to read process in all of its aspects.

From the earliest reading experience, becoming a fluent and proficient reader is described. The importance and relevance of a good reading standard and its impact on school, further education and employment and career prospects, is highlighted. And the disadvantages of being a poor reader.
