Horatius

Horatius is a historical poem written by Thomas Babington Macaulay, first published in 1842. The poem tells the story of a brave Roman soldier named Horatius who defends the city of Rome against an invading army from Clusium. Horatius, along with two other soldiers, holds off the enemy at a bridge over the Tiber river, buying time for the Romans to prepare their defenses.
