Hidden Things

Charlotte Whitfield had always known the people who raised her were mad and she had spent her entire adult life trying to distance herself from the reputation of it - from them. From the ridicule that seemed to stick to her skin even as Charlotte worked to unravel every one of the mad things her grandfather had done. Proving every thing was nothing more than imagination. She proved almost all of his theories wrong and was content to continue until a letter arrived for her during a lecture. Her grandmother had set fire to her family home and Charlotte was being summoned as power of attorney.
