Great American Colonial Leaders

Great American Colonial Leaders describes a group of remarkable men--French, Native American, and English--who made a significant difference in the history of North America. Their contributions span roughly a century, between 1675-1775. These leaders include governors--like Count de Frontenac, Pierre de Vaudreuil, William Shirley, and Robert Dinwiddie; Indian leaders like Teganissorens, Teedyuscung, Scarouady, and The Muskrat; as well as traders and interpreters--like Conrad Weiser, George Croghan, Chabert de Joncaire, Frederick Christian Post, William Trent, and Sir William Johnson. Although many of these men may be forgotten today, they provided enormous service that changed the course of the American story.
