Beskrivelse af Gore Ot Ouma
Gore Ot Ouma: A Comedy is a play written by Aleksandr Sergeevich Griboedov and was first published in 1857. The play is set in 19th century Georgia and follows the story of a young nobleman named Chatsky who returns to his hometown after a long absence. Chatsky is a witty and intelligent man who is deeply critical of the society he finds himself in. He is in love with a young woman named Sophia, but she is already engaged to be married to a wealthy and powerful man named Molchalin. Chatsky's arrival in town causes a stir and he quickly becomes embroiled in a series of comedic misunderstandings and mishaps. The play is a satirical commentary on Georgian society and its customs, and is known for its clever dialogue and sharp wit. Despite being written over 150 years ago, Gore Ot Ouma: A Comedy remains a popular work of literature and is still performed in theaters around the world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
