Beskrivelse af Glucanase Producing Bacteria from Plant Waste
The forest litter has been decomposed by microbes with the help of cellulolytic enzymes such as Glucanase and Xylanase. The cellulolytic enzymes produced by the bacteria degrade the cellulose present in the forest litter into monomeric sugars. The isolation of bacteria from Forest soil and characterization of bacteria producing Glucanase from Vandalur forest. Three different soil samples collected under Bamboo, sweetnia, khaya. Three different bacteria are isolated from the forest soil. The bacteria are sub-cultured and the pure cultured has been obtained. The Bacteria are identified using Biochemical Test such as Indole test, Methyl red test, Voges- Proskauer test, citrate test. The bacterial strain identified are Bacillus, E. coli and Klebsiella by the biochemical test such as Indole test, Methyl red test, Voges- Proskauer test, citrate test. The bacteria are screened for production of the Glucanase.
