Gianni Schicchi is an opera composed by Giacomo Puccini in 1918. The story is based on an episode from Dante's Inferno and centers around a wealthy family in Florence, Italy. They enlist the help of the cunning Gianni Schicchi to impersonate the deceased and rewrite his will in their favor.
