This little book was designed to introduce you to some basic principles of modern Greek. While it's not a "pocket phrase book" or a "vocabulary book," it is an ideal text for the serious student, traveler, and explorer searching for a fast introduction to one of the most glorious languages in the world. Most importantly, this book is meant to be fun! We all learned our first language when we were kids. That's a fact worth keeping in mind. In one sense, learning the basics of another language asks that you become a little kid again, that you do things little kids do all the time: that you enjoy yourself without fear, that you make mistakes without worry, and that you play.
