General Science Quick Starts Workbook

General Science Quick Starts is part of the Quick Starts series, which provides students in grades 4 through 8+ with quick review activities that start the day's lesson off right and help students build and maintain a powerful science vocabulary. Each page features two to four quick starts that can be cut apart and used separately. The entire page may also be used as a whole-class or individual assignment. Students will exercise scientific investigation skills in six broad subject areas: matter and energy, living things, ecosystems and habitats, astronomy and space sciences, earth science materials, and ancient life. Use the quick starts: - to start the day's lesson; - as a pre-test assessment; - as review for test prep; - displayed on a whiteboard or classroom projection device; - or in a learning center for students who have extra time.
