Gender Outline: Precocious Brian Chalmers first rescues then seduces Ann Landers in South Australia. Ann and Julia Childers, later Jules or Julius, tutor Hazara Afghan girls whose brothers attacked Ann. She urges Julia Childers to become boy Jules.
Ann's mother, Carla Landers, is dying from bowel cancer, her dad, Hector, meets Glen during an IT training course, to be man and wife in future, with Hector to change gender.
Underage couple Jules and Ann obtain their parents' reluctant approval and convince the South Australian Ethics Commission to allow sex change, as do Glen and Hector.
Ann's mother posthumously wins a quiz competition resulting in the sponsoring magazine to facilitate both the journey into, and gender change treatment on, Saipan, Micronesia.
A once- notorious Australian gynaecologist, based on Saipan, operates on both Jules and Hector. Hector/ Hec's IT company wins a tender to develop software on chronic youth unemployment in the Marianas, where Glen joins ' her ', along with Aline, a Micronesian-descended girl programme writer, and Jules' mother Eileen. They are contracted to start an industrial estate.
Jules, fitted with a penis and having survived blood poisoning. gathers Ann and a Vietnamese girl Angh, a classmate, as his consorts.
