"Stay Out Of The Woods" is an adventure story about a group of young boys that hang out together. Logan Archer, his cousin Jacob, brothers Jordan and Quinn, and lastly, a boy named Sammy. They are ordinary ten year old boys that live in a small town in the late 1950's. Their trouble started when Logan goes reluctantly into the woods to catch his dog. No-one has been allowed in those woods since a meteor fell there. Logan ran out of there as fast as he could when he saw a man with a gun look up at him. He told his friends that he saw a strange building and men with guns while he was in the woods. They don't believe him so, even though he's afraid, he takes them in to show them. The boys eventually see what Logan had seen. They were afraid to tell their parents since they knew they weren't supposed to be there. They decide to investigate on their own. The boys make a pact to not tell any grown-up about this until they know what's going on. They decide to try to get information from anyone that might help them put the pieces of the mystery together. While Logan is in the library, he overhears two men discussing their plans to break into the building in the woods. They want to get whatever they can from the meteor and information from the scientists that are there. They are spies and their country hopes to use its alloys to make weapons.
