- The Beauty of Holiness
128,95 kr. Could a healthy young man love an undesirable woman, if the woman were misshapen and filthy? Could this young man, who only a few weeks ago was a lust-driven hedonist, love the Bible supremely? Could a mutual love for the Scriptures be motivation enough alone to make a good marriage? Even if the marriage were between the man and woman described above? Can there be a genuine marriage without Eros? Without children? These and other questions are addressed in this story, mixed in a matrix of adventure and romance. Onesimus, the runaway slave of The Road to Rome accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord at the feet of the Apostle Paul. The Bible tells us that Philemon, the master of Onesimus, is a convert and special friend of Paul's. Paul insists that Onesimus return to his master, and he writes a letter to Philemon pleading for the life of the errant slave to be spared. Onesimus returns to Colossae along with another disciple: a tall, handsome fifty-year-old. Together they are carrying four letters of Paul to churches in Asia. The letters must be guarded with their lives, and very nearly costs them their lives. Then they meet Lois, a humpback hag with an air of pure stench. They are amazed to learn that she is the homeless daughter of Jewish priests who were stoned to death for their faith in Jesus Christ. The woman has memorized the Old Testament. She is a devout believer is the Saviour. Both men love her, and they adopt her for safe keeping. Tychicus asks Lois to marry him. She says, "No." Onesimus asks, and she says, "Yes." The wedding of this couple will live pleasantly in your mind for a long time. The couple returns to Rome to serve the LORD with Paul. Lois is kidnaped, and your heart will be broken by the ending of this tale.

173,95 kr. Hebrews is an epistle by somebody who understood perfectly the Law of Moses, and the cultural history of the Jews which was based on this Law. The epistle is rich in ancient things and people: the Ark of the covenant and the altar; Abraham and Joshua as examples. Another devotional study by the author, this book is also full of cracker barrel philosophy and wisdom, as well as scientific knowledge. This blend of scholarship, common sense, creation, and science makes for fascinating reading. As a Bible literalist the author holds the Bible in great reverence and awe as God's preserved Word. The book has an index of important topics, as well as an index of scriptures used in the book. A complete table of contents lists the eighty-some essays. The essays take less than fifteen minutes to read, each one having its own title and scripture reference. The price of this book, like all of Kennedy's books, has the minimum royalty allowed.

- Paul, an Apostle
188,95 kr. The Invalid Warrior is another in a long line of books about the Apostle Paul: some good, some bad. Paul's life was so filled with adventure that a thousand books about his life would not be terribly repetitious. In thirty-four years of ministry Paul was beaten with rods or switches eight times. These beatings were so severe he surely needed at least six weeks to recover enough to walk. Dr. Luke's skill helped keep him alive. Luke would have likely done skin grafting to cover Paul's exposed ribs and spine. Paul would have needed massive doses of opium to make such surgery possible. What problems could large amounts of opium cause? This book begins with Paul as an eight-year-old racing with his companions through the streets of Jerusalem kicking an improvised ball. We learn of his birth and youth when he is delirious with pain in the Philippian jail, as he sees himself being born, thus covering the events of his entire life. Is Paul married? Did his Pharisee father disown him? We can only speculate, but the speculating makes good recreational reading. He spent a night and a day in the deep? Was he watched by voracious sharks? Where was he when he was robbed, and what was his state after his possessions wer taken? Did the robbers take his clothes? What were the miracles and signs he did? Were healings all that he did, or were there other miraculous works that would seem to us almost like science fiction, or magic? Meditate upon my Word, the Father commands. How interesting, even stimulating the meditations can be! The author of The Invalid Warrior used all of the stuff he could get his hands on the learn about Paul, and to pass it on to you in his three books. You will not only learn the missionary journeys of Paul, but much about his life as it is revealed to us in the epistles and in the Acts. Reliable secular history if woven in to broaden our knowledge of him and his exploits. Even in these books are not well written, you will gain from reading them. If you don't like them, of course, my address is in them. Just tell me you don't like them, and why; and I will sadly, but suddenly, send your money back.

- How The World Came To Be The Way It Is
143,95 kr. This book should be of interest to everybody who lives on this twirling globe. This book is a philosophical and scientific examination of the only honest and authoritative source for such information that exists - the Authorized Version of the King James Bible. Pseudo-science has completely ignored God's account, and proceeded to develop its own system of mythical explanations that satisfies the inane element of the world's population. God warned of these mythological tales when Paul wrote to Timothy, and said, "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: " (I Timothy 6:20). Human-kind has accumulated a vast store of knowledge with his brilliant, God-given brain. The magnitude of man's accomplishments is exceeded only by the damage he has done to the earth in the process. But God knew man would do all these things, and all the future things. Joseph Kennedy will help you see this.

83,95 kr. Jesus Christ was a descendant of King David, but so far removed that He was born to a simple maid. He became a lowly carpenter, ekeing out a meagre living. Then He burst upon the Jewish scene making statements that delighted the people, and caused the leaders great consternation. Before He was crucified, He said and did so many things that the world could not contain the books necessary to record them. Everything He said has come to pass, and we have chosen a few of those statements for examination.

108,95 kr. Irene, a Christian teen, is hooked on rock music. She befriends a poor girl from a broken, wicked family named Mindy. Irene invites Mindy to her home one week end in the hope of winning her to Jesus Christ. Mindy finds the records Irene has hidden, and the week end becomes a nightmare for Irene. She becomes convicted of the love of rock music. After she repents, and destroys the records, she volunteers to work on a church Sunday school bus route. Irene learns to love her bus captain, Miss Mote, and together they win Mindy after a tangle of events. The saga of the pink dress and shoes to match leads into another tangle of events which the author guides you through to the end. These events are the catalyst that brings Irene's atheist parents to faith in Jesus. This is a satisfying tale that kids and parents alike can enjoy.

- Paul, A Faithful Servant
333,95 kr. Chained to His Chariot continues the story of Paul's life from Illyricum, where The Invalid Warrior ended to his rented house prison in Rome where he is about to be evicted. With old age rapidly overtaking him, the Apostle was aggressive as he was in his youth. Blindness, illness, threats, abuse could no more deter the old man than they could deter the young man. Paul's life and legacy should be an inspiration to every Saint; and especially to unbelievers.

- : A Devotional Study
138,95 kr. There is a charm about the creation story. Creation was the work of a charming Creator Who later became a man in order to die for the humans He created. It is the author's hope and prayer that he has been able to reveal a little of this charm for others to enjoy. Written mostly in first person, the book is written by a teacher who has taught the creation story to many people. On this warm August day in 2009, we are ten years older than when I wrote the original radio lectures which constitute this book. The facts of creation never change. There are four booklets included in this study: creation as revealed in conscience, Psalms, miracles, and the New Testament. The writer is not a scholar or scientist, simply a man talking informally about what he has learned from learned men. Hundreds of books have been written about creation, both pro and con. Why write another? Well, all I can say is that I have not written one until now, so here it is. Enjoy.

- Prove teachers and experts WRONG!: Free your child's spirit and intellect. Dramatically improve reading and spelling through systematic imprinting and automatic letter selection.
208,95 kr. When children struggle to read and spell correctly in spite of continual practising, they often lose heart and their motivation to improve begins to flag considerably, much to the distress of parents and teachers who are giving their best. This book is meant for them. That a learning disability is the root cause of the child's pain, is all too often overlooked - even these days! Whilst the dyslexia continues to flourish and destroy, the cause is often credited to a lack of intelligence and diligence on the child's part. This is also due to the application of ineffective and inappropriate remedial methods. Affected is every fifth pupil. Dyslexia is caused by the 'underdeveloped' region of the brain that processes letters automatically. This function has nothing to do with the student's intelligence or character. Over the last 30 years in his private tutorial school the Kennedy-Shool in Tuttlingen Germany, Joe Kennedy has shown time and again, how with patience and diligence, dyslexia can be completely overcome. With this English version of his book - "Dyslexia: Prove teachers and experts WRONG!" Joe shows how and why children achieve such remarkable results in reading and spelling through regularly playing letter games and typing. The children play and improve - measurably! They then enjoy more free time and their parents can sit back and relax. Teachers can rely on a tool that regularly improves the grades of their beleaguered pupils and indeed of the entire class as the quality of work as a whole improves. Joe, who is a native Englishman, has decided to pass this knowledge and Know-how on to the English-speaking world. His 'mission' is to inform and create change. This book also contains relevant information about and measurable solutions to, dyscalculia (the inability to process numbers accurately) and ADHD - also based on everyday experience and deep insights into the neurobiology of the brain. To this end, Joe has also turned to consulting and has advised many experts, schools and organisations in applying his methodology successfully on a daily basis.

264,95 kr. Rural Life and the Rural School is a book written by Joseph Kennedy and published in 1915. The book delves into the challenges faced by rural communities in the United States during the early 20th century, including issues related to agriculture, poverty, and education. Kennedy argues that the rural school system is crucial to the success of rural communities, as it provides education and training for the next generation of farmers and workers. He also discusses the importance of community involvement in the school system, and the need for teachers to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of rural life. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of rural America, as well as those interested in education and social policy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
