Beskrivelse af Fernyhurst Court (1871)
Fernyhurst Court is a novel written by Frances Parthenope Verney and published in 1871. The story takes place in the mid-19th century and centers around the lives of the residents of Fernyhurst Court, a grand country estate in England. The main character is Lady Edith, the young and beautiful daughter of the Earl of Fernyhurst. She is courted by two men, the handsome and charming Captain Arthur Lovell and the wealthy but unscrupulous Mr. Mowbray. As Lady Edith tries to navigate her feelings for both men, she must also contend with the secrets and scandals that threaten to tear apart the peaceful facade of Fernyhurst Court. Along the way, the reader is introduced to a cast of colorful characters, including Lady Edith's eccentric aunt, the enigmatic French governess, and the loyal butler, who all play a role in the unfolding drama. The novel is a captivating and entertaining look at the lives of the English aristocracy during the Victorian era, with themes of love, betrayal, and redemption woven throughout. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
