Beskrivelse af Fathers and Sons
""Fathers and Sons"" is a novel written by Ivan Turgenev and published in 1867. The story is set in mid-19th century Russia and revolves around the conflict between the older generation of Russian aristocrats and their younger, more radical sons. The novel explores themes of generational conflict, the clash between tradition and modernity, and the changing social and political landscape of Russia during this time period. The main characters are Arkady, a young man who has just graduated from university and returns home with his friend Bazarov, a nihilist who rejects traditional values and beliefs. The relationship between Arkady and his father, Nikolai Petrovich, becomes strained as Arkady begins to embrace Bazarov's radical ideas. The novel also features several romantic subplots, including Arkady's relationship with a young woman named Katya and Bazarov's failed romance with a wealthy widow named Anna Sergeevna. ""Fathers and Sons"" is considered one of Turgenev's most important works and a classic of Russian literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
