Fat Chances

Who doesn't love a story filled with humor, tragedy, and sarcastic flair, all narrated by a charmingly flawed protagonist? Fat Chances opens on the day of my surgery, February 18, 2008 and winds its way through the phases of pre-operative preparation, recovery, and the complexities of my post-surgical "afterlife." Woven in between are a variety of humorous and sometimes embarrassing memories from key moments in my life that led me to gastric bypass surgery. This isn't your typical sugar-coated motivational story; it's an in-depth glimpse into the life of someone who has confronted head-on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of a formidable disease.
