Beskrivelse af Farewell Nikola!
""Farewell Nikola!"" is a novel written by Guy Boothby, first published in 1901. It is a thrilling adventure story that follows the exploits of a young man named Richard Hatteras, who becomes embroiled in a dangerous plot involving the legendary inventor Nikola Tesla. The story begins when Hatteras, a wealthy and adventurous young man, receives a mysterious letter from Tesla inviting him to visit his laboratory in Colorado. Upon arriving, Hatteras discovers that Tesla has been kidnapped by a group of ruthless criminals who are seeking to steal his latest invention. Hatteras, along with Tesla's assistant, the beautiful Miss Margaret Raleigh, sets out to rescue the inventor and thwart the criminals' plans. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including a band of Native American warriors, a cunning detective, and a sinister villain known only as ""The Black Doctor."" As they race against time to save Tesla and stop the criminals, Hatteras and Raleigh find themselves drawn closer together, and Hatteras must confront his own feelings for her. ""Farewell Nikola!"" is a fast-paced adventure story full of suspense, action, and romance, and is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.At first I came to the conclusion that it must be a bat, or some night bird, but that theory exploded. Bats do not remain at the same exact distance from the floor, nor do they stand stationary behind a man's chair for any length of time. The hour will come, however, when it will be possible for us to see these things; I am on the track even now.""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
