    En dyster og smuk fortælling om en ikke så fjern fremtid, hvor apati har afløst menneskelighed og ligegyldig underholdning har erstattet nærvær og samtale.
    Bradburys bog er ikonisk og hører til blandt klassikerne. Sproget og stilen alene er nok til at fastholde læseren, og de spørgsmål som bogen fordrer at vi tager stilling til er måske nok karikerede og satiriske, men de er også vigtige fordi de rummer et element af virkelighed.
