Reactivated virus like Epstein-Barr-Virus (EBV), Human Herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6) have been found in patients with long COVID, viral persistence is a driver of long COVID symptoms, viral proteins and RNA, in the reproductive system, brain, eyes, muscles, cardiovascular system, lymph nodes, appendix, breast, hepatic, lung tissue.
