Eli and The Flood

In the small country town of Tokoroa, Eli returns to school after a weekend at the beach with his oma and opa. He didn't think much about the storm that was brewing above him as he walked to school. Ms Eddie, his teacher, was always calm and this helped Eli and the class to remain content. He then finds himself in deep waters when what was supposed to be a normal school day turns into an adventure to safety.
The storm that hit the town takes down power lines, sending the class in a state of darkness. Ms Eddie calmly tries to find a way to get the children out of the rising waters. Ms Shaw swims through the waters in time to help. Eli and his friend Owen's quick thinking helps the class to prepare an escape. How will they reach safety? Do they all make it before they get swallowed up in the rising floods? Eli must then summon all the strength and courage to stay afloat.
