Beskrivelse af El Ancla de Arena / The Anchor of Sand
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION On the border between Spain and France, a police command captures a terrorist group that is smuggling an ancient manuscript in order to sell it on the black market. Meanwhile, they find the body of a woman with fifteen stab wounds. At first they seem like isolated incidents, but soon a link is drawn between them: everything seems to be connected to Christopher Columbus's journal, lost five centuries ago, and of which there exist two versions. Ricardo Luna, in charge of solving the murder and finding the culprit, must go back in time, because the key to the crime seems to be locked in the historical document and all the mysteries surrounding it. To achieve his aims, he is counting on Myrta Pitti, a prominent Italian historian. She guides him in the explorer's biography, a true labyrinth of plots, jealousy, political conspiracies, power struggles, and clandestine love... Soon they begin a passionate relationship and travel through the boulevards of Paris, the streets of Madrid and Seville, the sumptuous theaters of New York, and the ancient viceregal plazas of Mexico City and Santo Domingo, deciphering the crimes and following the trail of Christopher Columbus, a thrilling figure that, even 500 years after his death, between myths and legends, continues to cause controversy, passions, romances, and murders.
