Beskrivelse af Early Metrical Tales
Early Metrical Tales: Including The History Of Sir Egeir, Sir Gryme, And Sir Gray-Steill is a book written by David Laing in 1826. The book is a collection of three medieval Scottish ballads, each telling the story of a different knight. The first ballad, The History of Sir Egeir, tells the story of a knight who travels to a foreign land to rescue a princess from a dragon. The second ballad, Sir Gryme, tells the story of a knight who falls in love with a lady who is already betrothed to another man. The third ballad, Sir Gray-Steill, tells the story of a knight who is falsely accused of a crime and must fight to clear his name. The book is written in metrical verse and provides a glimpse into medieval Scottish folklore and storytelling. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
