Novel metal complexes are developing rapidly. Fascinating and aesthetics structured ligands are used for the preparation of metal complexes. Complexes found its various applications in food, petrochemical industry, rubber industry, pharmaceutical, environmental and in medicines industry. They have anticancer and antibacterial properties. This book will be an important document to students, practicing professionals and others to provide a scientific knowledge for the synthesis and applications of complexes. This book is unique in the sense that it explains the role of Dysprosium complexes in the antibacterial activity. In addition, it will also give you an idea to prepare metal complexes of ligands with donor atoms except oxygen atom. The present study aimed to investigate the structure and antibacterial activity of Dysprosium complexes with oxygen donor ligands. The characterization results obtained, and antibacterial screening deduce that the prepared complexes have antibacterial activity against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
