Darkly Gifted

Riel Del Toro is a man of tradition, an elected official within the vampire community. He is in the midst of returning from a much needed vacation with Sisco and Natalie when an acquaintance brings news that is sure to have dire consequences. With knowledge confirming that Natalie's human son, Nathaniel, is on the hunt, Riel must return to the States. He has a job as Museum curator to get back to and, now, more vampiric business that he had hoped to avoid. Natalie's son has always posed a problem, but one he could ignore until now. Riel has to decide how best to handle the situation for all involved, or risk his century's long friendships and face retribution at the hands of those he has sworn to serve. Through all of this, ancient prophecies involving Riel, and those he is closest to, begin to unravel as does his affection for the mysterious Magda, and the long lost love of his progeny, Ilana.
